in the golden blue... [Saturday, Jul 11th, 2009 @ 1:48pm]

[ music | the fear - lily allen ]

Alot of things have happened. Last night, there was a storm, a loud and rowdy one. Husband told me to cut his hair. I didn't want to, I felt like the universe was telling me no with all the storm stuff starting, but I did, and the wind blew the rain so hard against my skin it stung.
All of his hair is gone. Over two feet of hair cut off his head. I cried watching it fall to my feet, I could barely keep my hand steady. He now looks like the boy I met many moons ago, oh yeah.

I had such a strange dream last night, a dream where the whole thing revolved around a photo of my family, a photo of all of us in a state of excstacy, and then airplanes.

I'm not sure.

We are meeting a friend in a few minutes, I don't have much to say.
Looking through Cea & I's photobucket. I miss the way I look in some of those photos. Like this one:

i like my facial expression here:

alex now looks like this:

i'm done.

Music will begin around 7 PM, possibly with a short first set by David Rovics, after which Kimya Dawson will play.
At 9 PM we'll be screening an almost completely forgotten comedy classic from 1979 called Americathon. Who's premise seems eerily relevant today.
$5 admission, all proceeds go to Liberty Hall. Give more if you can, you're getting a hell of a deal.

Monthly Flowetry [Tuesday, Jun 30th, 2009 @ 4:58am]

*I used to write a period poem every month, but haven't written one in a long time. This one just came to me yesterday on the way home from the park.

Monthly Flowetry- A haiku in 3 parts

Crampy and bleeding
Totally overheated
Needing to cool down

Dropping pants to sit
Bare assed on the muddy beach
Would feel great right now

I would do it if
I wasn't surrounded by
Other people's kids

So I finallly live in Winter Park [Monday, Jun 29th, 2009 @ 1:59pm]

ettch
My grandfather said that Winter Park was probably named for that it was a fine place to spend the winters in Florida. I can testify that it is a fine place to spend summer as well. I am looking forward to winter time to see everything lit up with lights, to go bike riding in the cool air down to Park ave, or to Stardust coffee. The area is so nice, even on these hot summer nights. We haven't bought our dining room table from Ikea yet, so we've been eating on our balcony bistro set. Out there we've got tibetan prayer flags and japanese lanterns up, and we drink our french ale out of wine glasses. It's really nice when a breeze comes through, except my rose petals fly away and litter the downstairs neighbors patio because of it.

More pictures soon, once everything is completely finished.
